Raise your hand if you’re ready for the winter postseason.

This is always a rough time of year for sports writers and editors because so much goes on for about a month, but for fans of high school sports, late February and March can’t be beat.

The postseason is in the ultra-early stages this week. District swimming and sectional wrestling are this weekend. The girls basketball tournament gets going next week with the boys the following weekend.

As hectic and crazy as it can get, tournament season always provides drama and thrills for sports fans as prep athletes trying to grab up district, regional and state titles.

If you’ve got a favorite postseason memory you feel like sharing, go for it and as we go, I’ll share some of mine.
